<h5>a) Funded by:</h5> <p>Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, Technical support & Development Partner: Save the Children International Bangladesh (SCI).</p> <h5>b) Project duration:</h5> <p>1st September 2024 to 31st August 2027, 4 years project. </p> <h5>c) Goal & Objective of the project:</h5> <p>To contribute to strengthened safe migration pathways in Bangladesh through raising awareness, supporting sustainable reintegration and providing alternatives to irregular migration.</p> <h5>d) Objectives of the Projects: </h5> <p>- Capacity building of the women led organization as a competent in the development sector. </p> <p>- Women’s economic participation and financial inclusion remain limited, hindering equitable benefits from the country’s economic growth.</p> <p>- WLOs capacity matters in addressing barriers to women's economic participation, career choices, and access to opportunities.</p> <p>- Access to funding, and networking are among the WLOs’ key challenges to perform better.</p> <p>- WLOs are eager for capacity development but lack resources. </p> <p>- Long-term OCD investment is more sustainable than project-level support, impacting both organizational and programmatic levels.</p> <h5>e) Project Background:</h5> <p>KNUS is implementing the SWOCCHAR Project in Rangpur Division since 1stSeptember 2024 Funded by Kingdom of Netherland Embassy and supported by Save the Children International (SCI) Bangladesh. This is a 3 years project started from September 2024 & ending June 2027. The 1st stage of the project duration is 4 months from September 2024 to December 2024. As per the SWOCCHAR planned activities, KNUS implemented the“16 days of activism on Gender Based Violence (GBV) against women at the Rangpur district under the Rangpur Division with the support of Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. The Divisional & District level administration have given the consent to organize the events and agreed to participate accordingly. The event was published in the different Daily Newspapers which is a valid document of the “16 days of activism on Gender Based Violence (GBV) against women at the Rangpur district under the Rangpur Division with the support of Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner under the SWOCCHAR project. </p>
