<h5>a) Goal & Objective of the project: </h5> <p>To improve the food security, shelter, socio-economic and livelihoods conditions of the vulnerable Returnees Migrants. </p> <h5>b) Objectives of the Projects: </h5> <p>- To identify & select the vulnerable returnee’s migrants of Gabtoli Upazila under Bogura district. </p> <p>- Conduct the returnees need assessment through the counselling & FGD</p> <p>- Ensure the selected returnees services access as per their needs.</p> <p>- Follow up support provide to the returnees for operating IGAs activities. </p> <p>- Provide inputs to the returnees to accelerate the IGAs.</p> <h5>c) Project Background:</h5> <p>As part of the humanitarian and livelihoods improvement support, KNUS primarily enlisted the 100 returnees who are most vulnerable returnees and distributed the Eid Package consisting the Luccha, Shimai, Sugar, Milk, Polao Rice, Rice crack, Edible oil, Soap, Lungi, Hand Sanitizer, for Girls/women Napkin, Pad etc. Beside these KNUS assisted the returnees’ migrants owing to planting the cutting of the Drumstick in their homestead including near the road sides, produce different types of the vegetables at the homestead, those easily can be grown on the raised bed, such as Indian spinach, kangkong, ladies’ finger, amaranth, radish, brinjal etc. Also assisted to produce vine vegetables at the homestead which easily can be grown in the improved pits as trellis/house rope, such as sweet-gourd, bitter-gourds, ash-gourd, snake-gourd, sponge- gourd, cucumber, bottle-gourd, ridge-gourd, Papaya etc. KNUS has plan to distribute poultry baby chicks among the selected returnees beneficiaries within the short time.</p> <p>The returnees beneficiaries are producing vegetables in their homestead and also in the small piece of high land following the organic farming system including applying the homestead space planning, integrated crop management practices, homestead agro-forestry, modern technologies and harvested plenty of vegetables those selling in the markets. At present they earned plenty of money as the vegetables are high value crops. They are also rearing chicken, goat and cow involving their family members for their proper take care and management.</p> <p> </p>
